How to use parental controls

KaraFun provides a Parental Control feature on Android to assist in restricting access to songs containing explicit lyrics. This guide outlines how to activate and manage parental control settings for a more secure karaoke experience.

  1. Access the app settings and navigate to "Queue".
  2. Switch on the "Parental Control" option.
  3. You may also toggle this feature directly on our website by going to "My account" > "Preferences".

Tips

  • To disable Parental Control, simply return to your app settings and switch off the feature. You will be prompted to enter your KaraFun account password for confirmation.
  • Once enabled, Parental Control will block access to community songs.
  • Songs with explicit content will still appear in the catalogue marked with an "E" tag, but they will be unplayable.
  • If Parental Control is active and you attempt to play an explicit song, a pop-up will notify you: “This song cannot be added or played. It is considered explicit and Parental Control is activated.”
