Quizzes are a delightful way to take a breather from singing, test your musical acumen, and enjoy some friendly competition. They come with both Standard and Pro subscriptions, and full functionality requires the Remote Controller.
To participate in a quiz:
- Navigate to the Quiz Category in the catalogue.
- Choose your desired theme and add it to the queue, just as you would with a song.
- A screen displaying a QR code will appear. Participants can scan this code with their mobile devices and enter their names to join the game.
Note: Without the Remote Controller, the quiz can still be initiated, but responses cannot be submitted via the KaraFun app, preventing you from scoring points.
- Once everyone has joined, the host can press the "Play" button on the KaraFun app or use the Remote Controller (depending on the Remote Controller settings).
- Each quiz comprises 12 randomly selected questions. The questions and answers will be displayed on the main screen, and participants can submit their responses using the four coloured squares on their device via the Remote Controller. Each participant must be able to view the main screen to see the questions and answers.
- At the conclusion of the quiz, the scores of the leading participants will be shown. To view the complete scores, click on the "medal/cup" icon in your history under "options".
Quizzes can also be added to playlists or saved offline, much like a regular song, although the Remote Controller feature will be unavailable offline.
With a Premium subscription, up to 20 participants can join the quiz, and with a Pro subscription, a quiz can accommodate up to 1,000 participants!
Quizzes are crafted to provide a diverse experience. While we strive to minimise repetition, playing the same quiz multiple times might occasionally result in encountering a familiar question.
Besides quizzes, KaraFun also offers an interlude feature!
After each question, this feature allows participants to enjoy a brief karaoke sample of the song. This musical interlude enhances the quiz experience, allowing everyone to sing along before the quiz automatically resumes. To initiate an interlude, simply press the “Interlude” button that appears on your Remote Controller after a question and before the next one begins.
