Quizzes provide an enjoyable diversion from singing, allowing you to test your musical knowledge and compete against friends. These are available with both Standard and Pro subscriptions and require the Remote feature for full functionality.
To participate in a quiz:
- Explore the Quiz Category in the catalogue
- Select your desired theme and add it to the queue, just as you would a song.
- A screen will appear displaying a QR code. Players can scan this code with their phones and enter their names to join the game.
Note: If the Remote feature is not utilised, the quiz can still be launched, but answers cannot be submitted via the KaraFun app. Consequently, you cannot score points.
- Once all participants have joined, the host can click on the "Play" button on the KaraFun app or the Remote (subject to remote settings).
- Each quiz comprises 12 randomly selected questions. The questions and answers are displayed on the main screen, and players can submit their answers using the four coloured squares on their device via the Remote. Each player must be able to see the main screen to view questions and answers.
- At the conclusion of the quiz, the top players' scores will be shown. Currently, it is not possible to view the complete scoreboard for all participants.
Quizzes can also be added to playlists or saved offline, akin to a regular song, but the remote feature won't be available offline.
With a Premium subscription, up to 20 players can join the quiz, and with a Pro subscription, a quiz can accommodate 1,000 players!
Quizzes are crafted to provide a diverse experience. While we strive to avoid repetition, if you play the same quiz multiple times, you may encounter a question you've already seen.
In addition to quizzes, KaraFun also offers an interlude feature!
After each question, this feature allows players to enjoy a brief karaoke sample of the song. This musical intermission enhances the quiz experience, enabling everyone to sing along before the quiz automatically resumes. To start an interlude, simply press the “Interlude” button that will appear on your remote at the end of the question and before the next one begins.
