Versioning notes
Version 3.9.0
We reworked the song options dialog: a “cancel” button now allows closing the window without adding anything to the queue, while the “add without options” has been removed.
The order of buttons has also been changed in the whole application; the main button (“OK”, “Validate”, etc.) is now shown on the left to better respect Windows design conventions.
🔄️ Singer Rotation
Following some user feedback, leaving the Singer Rotation mode does not delete queued songs anymore! The order is preserved when switching back into “Queue” mode, only the groups are removed.
For PRO users, a new submenu in the “View” menu allows for quick switching between display modes of the queue. For non-PRO users, this submenu is invisible, and the queue header will not show the select menu either (Singer Rotation being only available to PROs anyway).
🐞 Fixes
- The singer suggestion menu did not show/hide when clicking on some elements of the field
- Remote: it was impossible to enable the admin state of a participant

🔄️ Fairer nights with Singer Rotation
Singer Rotation is here! For PRO subscribers, the queue can now be switched to this new mode so that singers take turns. Prepare your night in advance or create groups on the fly, KaraFun will make sure that everyone gets to sing!
The remote is automatically handled and will create a group per new user, which you will be able to manage at will.
The next singer must leave for a minute? Handle priorities between songs to stay in control in the face of unexpected changes!
🛜 Stay offline
We added an “Offline mode” setting in the offline panel. This will block the app from using the Internet and will make it behave just as if you did not have any connectivity. Useful to limit network usage or make sure you’re only using offline songs!
✨ Design and accessibility
Following many feedbacks regarding the use of the space bar, we decided to assign this key only to the “play/pause” feature! This shortcut will now take priority no matter where you clicked in the UI, and will no longer activate any button nor skip any song.
We also touched up volume sliders, the player’s seek bar and other components for readability purposes.

🌐 Community
- If you have already uploaded CDGs to KaraFun, a new "Community" page will appear in the app to manage your community songs.
- At the same time, discover KaraFun Studio, a new tool for creating karaoke for the community! A link is available in the application’s "File" menu.
- Community songs can now be downloaded and added to playlists, just like songs and quizzes from our catalogue!
- It's also possible to change the pitch, tempo, and singer for community songs and, for community songs made with KaraFun Studio, adjust the vocal track volumes.
